Just got back from this hotel, and all I can say is, it’s a fantastic hotel, and I can see why it has been voted number 1 hotel for families in Europe! My wife and I have just visited this hotel with our 2 year old son, and from the moment you walk in you are made very welcome.
Been to Sands a number of times now. Not only great value but from the moment we walked in the door, everything from the Welcome, to Services, Atmosphere and Details are perfect.
Stayed a couple of times overnight, rooms are simply wonderful, spacious, clean and modern with great views.
The food is very good standard and would only describe it as fine dining and I do expect a lot from the food in places where I stay or eat.
Indoor and Outdoor Pools, Bar, Dance Floor, Restaurant, couldn’t find anything to fault.
Great entertainment for all ages, would choose again anytime for family breaks but also for parents to relax with or without families.
Our whole department had a very enjoyable evening at our Christmas party. We have never used the sands before but were not disappointed in any aspects. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. The food was served promptly and was delicious. Those that stayed were very impressed with the rooms and sea views. All round great experience. Would definitely recommend and will be back again.

The warm welcome was followed by a truly superb evening meal, the attention to the smaller details was fabulous, the meals were beautifully prepared and presented, the restuarant team couldn’t do enough to ensure everyone was having an excellent time – first class

My partner and I decided to go to Cornwall for a long weekend at the end of November. What a great find this hotel was! Normally ‘family friendly’ hotels lack the finesse and finer details that you often find in boutique hotels. Sands was a refreshing surprise. For families, it has excellent amenities that will keep the children occupied for hours. For adults, the spa, pool, excellent restaurant (the food was fantastic!) and relaxed bar have everything the more discerning traveller could want. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well designed. And as that wasn’t enough, the views are amazing.
But like with any experience, as great as the hotel itself is, it is only as good as the staff and the service they give. Every employee we encountered was friendly, fun, attentive and couldn’t do enough to make our stay a memorable one. First class all round!
All in all, great value, great service, great facilities mean we will DEFINITELY be back!
