Events in Cornwall in November 2012
If you are coming to Cornwall for a family holiday or a short break this month you don’t want to be missing out on all the fantastic events happening around you. Below we have listed our favourite November events in Cornwall for you and all you need to do now is decide which one to go to…decisions, decisions.
Ice Skating at the Eden Project (20th October 12 – 3rd March 13)
Put your skates on an enjoy the winter in the surroundings of one of the most amazing attractions
Cornwall has to offer. Hire a “penguin” to help your kids with their first ice skating experience. (see photo). There are also designated parents and toddler ice play sessions (for those under 6) that include toys to play with and chilly Junior sessions for 6 – 12 year old.
A regular session is 40 min. long and costs £6 per person. “Penguin” hire £4
Parent and toddler ice play £3 per child with one free adult

Truro City of Lights (14th November 12)
This is a truly amazing event that you should definitely attend! This year’s theme for the annual event is Kings and Queens and spectators will see a procession of lanterns float through the streets carried by professional artists, Cornish school children and local community and youth groups. The event marks the official switch on of Truro’s Christmas lights, plus music and dance from Truro School of Samba and other local bands. St. Austell Torchlight Carnival (17th November 12)
Marking the beginning of winter St. Austell comes alive for the celebrations with a whole day of entertainment throughout the town, with live bands, stalls, music and dance and as it gets darker, the tremendous spectacle of the Torchlight Carnival parades through the town. Celtic Beer Festival (26th November 12)
11am – 11pm at the cellars of St. Austell Brewery
On November 26th 2011 the annual event transforms the old wine cellars and vaults beneath the brewery into a great event venue; oozing with atmosphere … and beer!
With more than 150 real ales on offer, including exciting new brews, live music throughout the day and traditional Cornish pub food, there will be something for everyone. Highly regarded as one of the county’s biggest ale festivals, beer and music lovers will enjoy the day whilst raising funds for St Austell Brewery’s Charitable Trust.
