A poem about family holidays at Sands

We received this fantastic poem and had to share it with you!

Yesterday we gave away a Family Weekend Break in Cornwall as part of our Facebook competition. One of the entries was a lovely poem by Emma D. Unfortunately her and her family didn’t win the competition (the winner was randomly picked) but because we liked her poem so much, we decided to give away an additional prize, a voucher for a Massage at Ocean Breeze Spa for her next family holiday in Cornwall.

Here is her “Sands” poem:

Oh sands resort, please pick me!
I’d love to win the break
With 3 kids under the age of six
Such a difference it would make.

We’d use the pool – inside and out
We’d zip wire, maze and putt,
We’d head down to porth no doubt
Kitted out from your surf hut!

The children would all eat their tea
Of sands fayre so delicious
And we’d be just delighted
No clearing up or dishes!

Then sands would entertain them with a party or a show, and we’d all enjoy the sunset over the sea down below.

Then a lovely bubble bath to make them clean and glistening
We’d put the tired wee things to bed
And switch on baby listening!
Down we’d go for a lovely meal and wine that’s not expensive

Enjoy the quiz, maybe one more wine?! From the wine list – quite extensive.
Then the grown ups are off to bed, relaxed and holding hands
Oh what a parents paradise they’ve created at the sands

So please do let us win the prize, we’d live to visit sands
To enjoy a family holiday in lovely Cornish lands.
