How to get to Sands Resort by car, train or plane
The Hotel is about three miles from Newquay Airport, that’s about a ten minute trip by car. It’s worth checking with the airport and flight companies to see if there are any seasonal changes to flight paths before booking your holiday.
The following routes have inbound flights to Newquay:
- Flybe flies from various locations in the UK, France, Switzerland and Germany.
- Skybus flies between Newquay and the Isles of Scilly. Day trips available.
- Lufthansa flies from Düsseldorf to Newquay.
- Ryanair flies from London Stansted, Alicante and Frankfurt Hahn.
Full timetables for services can be found at www.newquaycornwallairport.com
Taxis can be pre-booked by the hotel and will cost somewhere in the region of £10-£15 pounds.
If you are thinking of travelling by train, book your tickets well in advance of your holiday as the trains can get busy during peak periods. Travel to Newquay or Bodmin Parkway.
Bodmin Parkway is on the main line. Tickets should be cheaper and the trip is shorter, but the taxi ride is much longer (23 miles).
Newquay is on a branch line so you will need to change at Par. It can be a long trip so stock up with lots of things to do. On the plus side it’s a shorter taxi ride to the hotel!
