Surfboard and wetsuit Hire - Sands Resort Hotel and Spa.
Will this be the year you learn to surf? Hit the waves, hang ten and discover your inner cool dude, like Keanu Reeves.
Surfing in summer is a must, so borrow a board and a wetsuit - free to hire for hotel guests - and hit the local beaches. There’s truly nothing like getting into the sea for a good work out, or just the chance to enjoy bobbing around on your board. For younger family members don’t forget to grab a bucket and spade - also free from Sands. After a day of splashing around in the sea and exploring the rock pools, head back onto the beach for a BBQ, soak up the rays and get some sand between your toes.
Stick to family friendly beaches as hidden coves and hard to access beaches can quickly be cut off by the incoming tides. Remember to pay attention to the beach flags for sea conditions and when in doubt seek advice from the lifeguards on patrol.
