Days out in Cornwall – Padstow
Discover Padstow whilst on holiday in Cornwall
Padstow is a quaint fishing village and hometown of celebrity chef Rick Stein. Just 25 minutes drive you can easily spend a day here. Take some bacon for the crab line!
Park in the car park at the top of Padstow and take the pretty walk down through the streets into the town.
Wander round the galleries and shops filled with arts, crafts and sailing wear. Buy a crab line, visit the Lobster Hatchery on the key then wander back towards the harbour and buy a portion of Steins fish and chips. Dangle your feet over the harbour whilst the kids catch a crab. So much fun to be had on your family holiday.
Enjoy a ferry ride over to Rock & amble round the little shops, visit Steins deli or take a walk on the nearby coves with an ice cream.
Then take a walk back up out of town to the stunning Prideaux Place (closed Fridays & Saturdays). A well-preserved & still lived in today Elizabethan house. Enjoy a cream tea in the gardens over looking the deer park and Estuary.
