SANDS ROOM INFORMATION

Dear Sands Resort guest(s),

Welcome to our hotel. Please take a few minutes to read this document, which will provide you with everything you need to know to ensure that you have a great stay. If you have any questions, please contact our reception team any time. To phone reception, please dial 0.

To dial an outside line, dial 9 followed by the number. Charges for outside numbers are £0.20 per unit. 

Wi-Fi

Swimming pools & gym

  • Guests will be able to enjoy our indoor pool, which is bookable for one 40-minute session per family, per day for each pool.
  • A maximum of 6 families will be in the pool at one time.
  • Our outdoor plunge pool and splash pool will be open for free use.
  • Extra swims can be taken if the pools are empty.
  • You will need to bring gowns and slippers as there will be no changing rooms, steam rooms or showers.
  • The gym can be pre-booked at reception. Only six guests can use the gym at the same time.


Restaurant

We operate a pre-booking system for our restaurant. Please note that each room can only reserve one dinner space per day. Should you choose to dine at a different time than your children, one of the meals would have to be enjoyed as a take-away menu.  Breakfast, lunch and dining times and menus can be found here. 

Please call reception to book your space.

Please note that we can't allow any food purchased outside the hotel, including delivery services.

Take away breakfast and dinner
We offer a continental breakfast served to the room door. This must be ordered the night before on the order slip in your pack. Please drop it off at reception.

A Take-Away Menu is in your pack and orders can be called through to reception. It will be delivered to your room door in a box. Please order your Take-Away at least an hour before delivery. Take-Away meals will be available during the regular mealtimes only. 

Please pack all crockery and waste back in the box and leave it outside your door. Call reception after your meal so we can remove it quickly.

Packed Lunch
We also offer packed lunch boxes with sandwiches, fruits, sweets and a soft drink, which can be pre-ordered the day before required and picked up on the day after breakfast. Please call reception for a lunch pack order form.

Special diets and allergies

We don’t offer a special diet service, but we try to work with you to adapt our menu to cover many dietary and allergic issues. Please speak to the restaurant manager.

Special foods

Soya milk and Soya spread are available at no additional charge. If you want to bring special diet foods with you, we are happy to store and serve them to you.

Free sport facilities
All sport facilities are free to use for hotel guests. See which activities are available.

Wetsuits and Bodyboards
Freshly disinfected wetsuits and bodyboards can be borrowed free of charge between 1st May and 30 September. Please call reception to arrange collection.

Activities
All activities are available for our hotel guests at no extra charge.  Please call reception to book a space for the Tennis court, Arts & Crafts sessions, the indoor pool or the gym.

Children’s buggies
Buggies can be borrowed free of charge from reception. They must be returned each evening and booked in at reception. If not, a rental charge will apply. You can also hire 3-wheeler all terrain and double buggies for £5 per day.

Other free hire items
Baby bottle sterilisers, bottle warmers, buckets & spades and windbreaks can be hired free of charge. All subject to availability. Please speak to reception.

Kids’ clubs for children
Unfortunately, we no longer offer a crèche or Kids’ clubs.

Baby listening
Our complimentary baby listening service is available each evening from 7 pm – 10 pm via the monitor in your room. Please press the red button to activate the system and check-in with reception. If you move locations, please let reception know so we can find you quickly if your child needs you.  Parents are not allowed to leave the premises.

Room cleaning
All rooms will be spotless and fogged with disinfect before your stay.

  • Critical Touchpoints like remote controls, light switches etc. are being given an extra wipe down and disinfect.
  • We will not service your room during your stay unless you stay 5 days or longer.
  • If you stay 5 days or longer, we will service your room in the middle of your stay. 
  • If you stay 7 days or longer, we will change your bed linen in the middle of your stay.
  • We have laundry bags for you to request extra towels.
  • You will also receive order sheets that you can leave outside your room to get extra tea, coffee, toilet paper, cups etc.
    Order sheets can be used from the day after your arrival day. Please hang up your order between 9 am - 10.30 am or between 3 pm and 3.30 pm to receive your required items soon after.
  • Please leave your rubbish tied up outside your door.
  • There won't be any brochures, pads, pens, menus or information booklets in your room.


Spa

  • Our Ocean Breeze Spa is open 7 days a week. The treatment list can be found here.
  • Bookings can be made at reception or by calling us. 
  • You must arrive 5 minutes before for your spa treatment.
  • Please note that spa bookings can't be added to your room bill and have to be paid in full at the time of booking.


DVDs

DVDs can be hired from reception for a £5 deposit. See our DVD list here. Once you picked a film, please call reception to see if it's currently available.

Safes
Safe keys are available from reception. A deposit of £25 will be added to your account and deducted when the key is returned.

Fire Action
Every room in the hotel has a fire detector; please do not smoke indoors. The fire alarm is tested weekly.

Signs around the hotel will notify you of the time. If you hear a continual siren any other time, please leave the building immediately via the nearest exit and wait at the Tarmac area outside the gym until you are told by our staff that it is safe to return. Please read the Fire Action notice on your bedroom door.

First Aid
The hotel has several staff qualified in emergency first aid. Please speak to reception if you need help.

Everyday items
A great choice of everyday items including baby (swim) nappies, sun cream, painkillers and a range of toiletries can be purchased at reception.
