Sands Resort Hotel in Porth is recruiting for a full time, experienced Commis Chef to start immediately to work until the end of October. You will work 42 hours. 5 out of 7 days including split shifts, weekends and evenings.

We are recruiting for a Kitchen Porter to join our friendly Kitchen Team. You will be required to work approximately 40 hours per week. Shifts are 7.30am – 11.30am and 6.30pm – 10.30pm.

Key responsibilities :

• Ensuring high standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen.
• Helping with food preparation.
• Washing the canopy and filters above the kitchen; scrubbing the fryer, burners.
• Operating the kitchen dishwasher.
• Sweeping/Mopping.
• Waste Disposal.
• Assist with basic prep & storage of deliveries.
• Ensuring storage areas are kept clean and tidy.

The ideal candidate:

• Minimum of 1 year experience, although training will be provided.
• Great eye for detail.
• High standard of cleaning.
• Well organised.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work alone as well as within a team.
• Available to work weekends.

We are recruiting for two people to join our fabulous Restaurant Team. Full and part-time positions available, but we will require people to be available to work evenings and weekends. Shift pattern with the earliest start time 7am and latest finish 11pm.

Key responsibilities :

· Greeting guests

· Taking orders for food and drink

· Serving food

· Taking payments and cash handling

· Cleaning and resetting tables with dishes, glasses as needed

· Cleaning duties such as stocking, sanitising, sweeping floors etc.

The ideal candidate:

• A minimum of 1 year experience, although training will be provided.
• Has a warm and friendly personality.
• Passionate approach to work and for hospitality.
• Well organised and able to cope with pressure.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
